Sticking to my guns to get this quilt done,
I did 6 diamonds in 15 minutes...
Grab, sew, any which way
Make them larger than your paper if you try this way,
and use a small stitch so the paper falls away easily.
Press, Trim, Walla!
My wall is filling up with diamond confetti!
I will keep sewing them until I have a whole lot of them... Then play later.
Let's see your 15 minutes.

oooo nice....is that regular newspaper that you are using...and did you just cut a gazillion of them...smiles

ReplyDeleteso pretty! I need to learn how to do this thing with the paper..I have never done paper pieceing!
ReplyDeleteSo V, when you have a stack of uncut-yardage infront of you, how do you start to cut it up to get all your funky pieces for this kind of block?
ReplyDeletePaper pieceing is easy, I use old phone books! Paper is very thin and tears away beautifully.

wow! these are lovely!! but i was a little confused at first...
ReplyDeletein the UK paperpiecing is where you wrap fabric round a template and then sew to the next piece - all by hand.
so we'd call this foundation piecing - where you stitch on to a base layer of thin paper or fabric. ah, sorry i had to realase the peddant in me!!
I really love the fabrics you are using in those diamonds. They look great.
ReplyDeletefab! can't believe how much you got done so quickly!
