a little sewing during vacation month

These are 9.5 inch blocks made from scraps from a friend's quilts. They're not as small as others I've seen here. They were rectangles of various sizes, so I sewed them in a 6 patch and angled my ruler on it and made a wonky block. I'm going to use some solid white to transform these into a funky baby quilt for my local hospital. thanks to all of you who have been playing here. I'm enjoying what you're doing.

I really like the orange and pink together.

Wonderful and fun colors. I usually just throw pieces together to make scrap blocks, it is fun to see how it comes out.

Great idea. The larger blocks will make your quilt grow faster!

Cool fabrics! And a great idea for the hospital. Who could help smiling when they see it?
