I have had better months, but this week has been a really good one. I won one of Loft Creations prizes in the No Strings Attached Challenge for Human Kindness - picture me smiling big and glowing all over. And I went to breakfast this morning and opened a local magazine and just happened to notice they published the article I sent them two monts ago - picture me glowing big and smiling all over!
And I actually found some time to block out the world and do two 15-minute blocks. You know you must do at least two because you must chain piece! Those are the rules. So I did my two and as they were switching back and forth under my presser foot, I was growing with anticipation.

I was so excited to see a pair of very interesting blocks emerge from under the 6 1/2 inch ruler at the end of the process. So I looked up at the clock to see how many minutes I had been working, and realized I had no idea when I had started! Sigh. (mental note: remember when you start)
.
It was so liberating -- no stinkin' rules, no stinkin' rulers, no stinkin' color coordination, nothing!
Maybe I can be as creative as the rest of you as I aspire to be in your delightful league.
glen/ QuiltSwissy: just watch out for those rules!

Congratulations on winning one of Stephanie's prizes!! Wasn't that a fun challenge? I didn't join, but I was inspired and made lots of little things and one big quilt, loving every minute of it. I am very impressed that your article was published. Double congratulations to you. Curious to know if there is a financial reward for your article? Love your site. I'm a scrappy quilter and I like your 15 minute plan! ~karen
