15

A different sort of 15 minutes....

I have been procrastinating my scrappy stars... I have 3-4 left to make...
and have been staring at it all week... SO instead of making my 15 minute blocks,
I've taken 15 minutes to work out different thoughts, new blocks, out of my scraps...
This is were my 15 minutes really works well,
I pick a blocks, dig in my scraps, make one up.. and decide if it's a worthy block...
if not, Into the
kitchen sink box it goes... if I like it, I stick it up, stare at it for a few
weeks and see if anything excites me enough to make a plan for a quilt...

Sometimes it's not the block that gets me worked up,
Sometimes it's the scraps I randomly picked out... a color palette, one never knows...

But that 15 minutes opens me up to a bunch more possibilities...

The top left block is from a quilt I designed quite a while ago...
the ZIP Quilt, here
I was thinking it might make a nice quilt for our granddaughter...

the middle was from the 5500 blocks book.

and good ole wonky 9 patches... thinking I'd like to play with those...
they always look good!

Were will you 15 minutes take you today.

The green & pink zip quilt is a great colour combination! I think the 15 minutes play-time has to be for something you don't feel you HAVE to do - just fun! But please, please, do finish the scrappy stars quilt - it's my all time favourite 'net quilt' and I can't wait to see it finished!!

I'm partial to those 9-patches too. Great color scheme there.

I am loving the block in the center and the spark of nine patches!
