I've been following this blog for a while and I've been completely amazed by the ways you all work with fabric. You've inspired me to play with almost every idea that pops into my head..
I started out with a Bulls Eye block, and ended up with this (on the left):
And the strip on the right is what I came up with just foundation piecing strips/strings to a strip of thin fabric. Both strips will go into the NYC Metro Mod Guild's strip project at tomorrow's meeting. Originally I wanted to make an entire bulls eye quilt, but after trying out this strip I think my curiosity has been satisfied and now I can move on to other projects. The string pieced strip though.. that was fun. I can see a whole quilt of these..

Hey Jessica! See ya tomorrow! These look fabulous! those quarter bulls eye's are so cool!
I love the look of that bull's eye strip. (Guess it's not a bull's eye anymore though, is it?!)
magpie,
i had thought about making 2 rows and keeping them as bulls eyes, but then the quarter circle idea won out and that's what I made. Who knows, maybe I'll revisit this idea again..
I love it!
Love those two strips...great ways to edge a quilt!! Or maybe a whole quilt?!
Love the juxtaposition of the strip and bulls eye together. Did they both make it to Metro Mod? I only remember seeing the bulls eye.
Ellen, they both made it in. the strippy one just blended in with the other busy strippy pieces..
Wow!! love the bull's eyes too and what you ended up doing to them. Bonnie
Welcome Jessica. I like what you did, I am a sucker for purple :D
