It's been almost a year since I first put this together.
Sort of a free formed log cabin.
It is 68" x 76".
It just seemed way too blah for me, so I began making log cabin posies for my log cabin. Nothing brightens up a home like a yard full of pretty flowers. Once I had made lots of log cabin flowers, I began improvising with some other types of flowers.
Then I made some stems and leaves and buds.
Dozens of flowers later, another issue presented itself to me.
Do I like the new landscaping with or without the stems?
What do y'all think?

Hard choice. Both are absolutely wonderful! Love the blending of the masculine and feminine looks.
Love the stems! But both ways are fabulous!
Wow, how fun is that!
I think my choice would be to leave the stems off. But that's just me. :- )
Oh this is a difficult one, but I'm a no stems person. Perhaps you could incorporate a vine of stems and leaves? Just a thought :)
Oooh! I love the flowers, especially the daisies! The stems are fun, but I think I'd leave them off this one; the bottom version looks perfect to me. Then you get to use the stems as the starter for another quilt - they're much too good to waste!!
I love the stems. This is going to be a fun quilt! Your "canvas" was just perfect for your posies.
Which way are you leaning? I'm rather torn... I like the middle one, and I like the bottom, but something tells me, it's a combo of the two... Keep on playing it will sing to you when you have it!
It's so much fun I can barely stand it!!! love it!
this is so great....I have some flowers that need a home too. I'm voting for no stems, but maybe a vine or two.
I think I love it! Your improvisational flowers are fantastic!
Love the stems! Clever idea to piece them and let them wave in the wind but I also like Trudi's suggestion above for vines... sort of the best of both ideas!
I LOVE it!! Way to revive a blah UFO! I vote no stems.
I know it means more work, but I like the stems. What fun!
Mary.. This is fabulous! Wow!
I can not wait to see what you decide to do with your flowers and stems!
A big thanks to all for such nice words. I am leaning toward no stems or vines. Just scattering the flowers, leaves, etc all around, Anthropologie style. Plus, I've already got a plan for those stems that I've plucked. Thanks for all the encouragement.
