Still Waiting for Pfaffie

My sewing machine is still in the shop. They called and said they need to do a repair that will cost $140. I said go ahead. I don't know how long it will take. My back-up machine turned out to be unuseable. Waaah! So I borrowed my mother's featherweight, which is wonderful, but I can't use it to finish the machine quilting I had started. I've been using this time to catch up on some knitting projects, like this hat, which I am glad is too big for the doll. If it fit the doll I would have been very discouraged. It is supposed to fit a 9-10 year old child.
