I've been wanting to make some liberated wedding ring blocks forever, at least since I read Freddy & Gwen Collaborate Again! I played with using monochromatic strings for the rings and B&W prints for the corners. It looks great, and the good news is that it used a LOT of strings. Since my string basket is my household Vesuvius that is a plus! I was thinking of doing a bunch of these in different colors, but we just got a wedding invitation for a fall wedding, so I'm thinking I might turn these into a table runner for the bride and groom instead.

That's awesome Alexis - look forward to seeing more of your project!
Great idea! I got to make that quilt in a workshop with Freddy, herself, last year. I'm sure she would like it too!
Ooh I am drooling with envy! Freddy is my Hero!
Beautiful colour choices, Alexis...look forward to seeing the finished quilt!!
That book is very inpsiring, looking forward to seeing how you finish it!
What a great wedding gift that would be! I love the yellow and black & white combo.
