Yellow Submarine

Playing with scraps from my yellow-orange drawer, thinking I'll make some one-color quilts. But I don't know, maybe it's too "blah." Got any thoughts on this?

They're really sunny, warm looking blocks which will make a great quilt for cold winter evenings! Turning my head sideways(!) maybe they could look even better on point!

I'm thinking I have orange on my brain because of your quilts! Your last one with all those red/s oranges, now this one... Delicious!

I love it, but have to admit I'd want to add an occasion screwball in there like purple or blue...

Nothing you ever make is Blah..I would agree with Tonya and add a little bit of 'cool'.

what fun! I'd put them on point. maybe add some solid black to crisp them up. Or leave them, they're darling and happy.

Beautiful! I don't have many yellows so it is fun to see such a vibrant quilt using a color I don't think of....LOVE IT!

I love the colors! I think setting squares or sashing would really set them off... yellow or orange if you want to stick to the one color look, bright aqua for a nice pop, or white to cooly frame them... They are great blocks, can't wait to see what you decide to do with them!

Not "blah" ... no, not at all! My eyes go to the blue hands, the brilliant aqua in a couple of flowers & the lavender stripes. Wonder how a funky block with those colors would fit into the mix?

Thank you all for the COOL ideas. Sounds like adding a bit of cool colors will do the trick!

Not at all blah. I have made quilts like this.. I did a yellow one, in fact.. then added a border of blue crumb blocks. It was quite sharp, in my opinion. I did one in pinks with a black crumbs border which I also liked. You'll figure out something that is wonderful, I'm sure.
