Look close at this quilt, The Fabric Food-chain. At the top are different sizes and shapes that she cuts her scraps into, and below them are the blocks that she makes from them. She has a great system and I think I'm a convert. We'll see if I follow through.
in the middle. I have close to 40 four and a half inch blocks now. I think it's time to think about putting them all together.
When I went on retreat a couple weeks ago, there was a table full of free fabrics and scraps from one of our members. I snagged a baggie of diamond shapes. I haven't done many Y-seams so I thought this was a good excuse to work on them. These are fun blocks to put together. Maybe I'll get a diamond shape die for my Accuquilt so I can pound out some scrappy blocks like this.
I haven't made many xmas presents yet and I'm starting to stress about it. I am thinking about making colorful luggage tags for co-workers. That or fabric folders/folios. Ideas? What are you doing for gifts?

i'd also like to make some xmas gifts but appart from making decorations for people i havent a clue! (am thinking scrappy stars to hang on the tree, if i can figure out how!) would love to hear others ideas...
I'm so jealous! I use a variation of Bonnie's system and it is great. I really like your tilty stars, they really sparkle!
Love the blocks. As far as Christmas gifts, I haven't done that for many years. It makes the holidays too stressful for me, so I just make them throughout the year and give them as I finish them. LOL not a good system but it works for me!
I'm loving those wonky star blocks!
