In the spirit of Try Something New (TSN)

After reading Victoria's post, I thought I'd share some of my playtime experiments.  I have no end goal in sight, I just made up a few quilt sandwiches (8" x 10") a while ago because I wanted to try new to me techniques.

Enjoy!
Mary-Frances

Start with a center block and add layers of fabric.

Playing with shapes using fusible web and raw edge applique.

Trying out new ideas for border treatments.

More quilt sandwiches ready to go.

A little couching...this was so much fun - teeny fabric strips and wool circles.

Here's a closer look at the circles.

Lots of fun things to try, thanks Mary-Frances. The couching looks a great way to do plant stems...

Oh, fear......there is always fear of using up my beautiful fabrics and it turning out bad.......yours are beautiful, but mine aren't always so.
