My first try at 15 minutes of play!

Hi,
I decided to try this 15 minutes of play thing.  I went to a local quilt shop and bought a $3 bag of scraps and took them home.  ( go figure...I gave away a big black garbage bag of scraps away a couple of months ago...who knew I would ever want to use them?) I spread them out and sorted by color and pressed them.

The pressing and sorting took a little more than 15 minutes but I was on a roll so I decided to play a little longer and I ended up with some interesting 10" squares.

This took about an hour but I am happy with my outcome. What do you think of them?   I still have more than half of the scraps left to play with another day.  I think I will add a border to each square and connect them to make a little quilt.  I will post the finished product later.

This was fun.  It is good to push your thoughts a little out of the regular box they seem to be comfortable with.

That is amazing! I'm impressed. I probably should do something similar. It does sound like something fun to do.

I like V's idea of not deciding too soon. That is something that hinders me, sometimes. I need to stop planning ahead. Nice blocks!
