slash and stitch and more

Here is my completed top. I love doing these quilts just as I love puzzles. Making a harmonious piece with what I have. The lower picture is my beginning with the scrap exchange fabrics and what they look like piled next to my machine. Plan to turn the squares into half triangles and make borders around the blocks. Jennifer also send some fairly large chunks of fabric and they too will make a border somehow.
Can their every be too much fun?!!! Bonnie

Great completed top! I love the diagonal lines, and the one square bordered by red. Very original.

And those yellow cross blocks! What a great idea to put yellow roughly in the middle to make a design amidst the other fabrics. I'll also want to make this block!

Bonnie,

The Yellow block is wonderful.. I want to try that myself. Great inspirations from scraps!
I like the strips going horizontal like a rail fence! Lovely quilt.

What a fab quilt top. You've provided me, yet, more inspiration. I really, really like the break using the solids. A terrific graphic look, to my eyes, at least. And the yellows: HOT, HOT, HOT!
