blue

My blue scrap drawer was bursting at the seams!

So I opened it up and began to sew strips.
The phone book pages made a great foundation!!!
First I had to trim them square.

I think I'll be using this technique next month when
I host a sewing day at church.
We'll be making quilts for the
kids graduating from high school.

True confession:
I spent more than 15 minutes...
but I didn't have to think at all!!!
That's a blessing!!!
I will say the blue scrap drawer seems to have exploded!!!
Looks to me like there's more here than when I
BEGAN!!!!

Amen!
When I start in using my scraps, they "fluff" up.

I think you will have a nice bunch of quilts for the graduates.

I'd have a hard time stopping with strips... I'd be cutting them up again, adding and cutting and again! They do make a nice dent in your stash drawer!

Lovely cool blocks, Beth! Blue winter sky with snow (just like the view from my window!) How are you going to set them?

Pretty pretties. What a wonderful idea to make quilts for all the high school grads. It will be something that they will all cherish forever.
