Spurred on by Glen's super fast work for Nifty, I got to work on Sujata's block. I rooted through all my prints and also found a bag of fabric scraps, a gift from a friend who'd said 'No-one but you would want bits this small'! Thank you, Hilary!
It came together faster than I expected! It really helped to decide the strip widths and cut my fabric first. I laid it out in piles of each width, then it was possible to chain piece. I was also VERY glad that I'd built in a half inch tolerance on a side strip, so I was able to trim to exactly 13 inches, rather than end up with 12 and three quarters!!
Thanks for the construction tips Charlotte ... each block in the bee has been so much fun to make ... I'll be starting on mine tomorrow & hopefully it will turn out as pleasing as yours.

Love this block so much. You did wonders with your "bits", Charlotte.
