Happy Belated Christmas!

Hi Friends,
I am just now doing my Christmas 15-minute play!
You can be assured I set the timer, and this is exactly 15 minutes.  Because some of the fabric is very fragile and frays, I had to top stitch each added row.  The idea is the Cross of Christ, that Jesus came to bear.

Then I took another 15-minutes play...and I only used some Christmas fabric I had precut...
4 inch squares and 1.5 inch strips.
I had to do a wonky sewing job, which was really hard to make myself not stay straight.
The two large pieces of fabric would have been but down, but my egg timer went off so this is what I got done.

I hope I get the hang of this 'free-style' sewing soon.  :)

ooh! more Xmas lights! ;-) fun! Easter for sure! Keep playing on those scraps, then you can go back in and cut them to a blocks size you like focusing on capturing blocks with many angles in them.. I love that part... ;-)

I think the top stitching acutally helps accentuate your cross. Good job!
