Many 15 Minutes = Christmas Gifts

Sorry I don't have the step-by-step on these. All December I ran down to my sewing room every night after work and made lots of gifts. My goal was to not buy any fabric for these projects - and I almost succeeded!
My daughter and her boyfriend spent a few days with us over Christmas, so of course he needed his own stocking! My inspiration for this was the stocking Victoria posted - I used scraps and made fabric for the front, and added the ND logo for Matt's alma mater.
This table runner was quite the process - started with the 9 center blocks, but set on square, with different borders on each end. Not happy - ripped out, put on point, made more blocks for borders, much happier me! Inspiration - using the blue and green leftovers from another quilt, and the shell quilting design was on V's red crosses quilt, and I had to try it! It is now my favorite all-over design. Thanks V!

Detail of shell quilting.

Tree skirt made as a surprise for my daughter. She asked me to make one for her, didn't think I had time to squeeze in one more project, but found a pattern over on crazymomquilts that looked pretty easy. I did buy about 4 quarter yards to add to this tree skirt - didn't have enough reds - but that's it. By the time Emily posed her dog, Cohen, on the tree skirt, her tree was too dry and brittle to get very close to it. But Emily loved it, and I think Cohen looks adorable on it too.
Thanks for letting me share just some of my Christmas projects - thanks for the daily inspiration, all of you!

Your holiday quilting is most impressive. Beautiful stocking and tree skirt (Cohen agrees), and the all-season table runner is very pretty. Love y;our colors!

I am impressed at all the energy on top of the usual frenzy. If you start today for this year, you have 329 days left! :)
