Okay, so this is harder than it looks! I think my first block turned out too much like a "string block" and you said NO STRING PIECING in the triangles. Aarrgghh! I think I need to try again. Good thing I have all month! If this doesn't help me loosen up in my quilting, nothing will.

Man, I just read this and it really sounds like I'm complaining. Sorry if it comes across that way. I'm just a real precise (OCD type!) person and this is hard for me. Fun, though -- really!!! LOL
Sandy! Take a deep breath and relax. I think your block looks good. If you want to loosen up your OCD-ness, this is definitely the place to be. I am working really hard on doing the same thing.
I keep hearing this voice say: Just let it flow, Shut your eyes and pull the next piece out of the bag. It will be OK. Just throw that color in, it will be fine......

Thanks, Glen. I definitely need to relax! LOL
You did fine! Keep playing, stop thinking.... Just grab and sew.... If something doesn't look quit right, cut it off and add something else... Try using the scraps that are not strips.... The funkier the shape the more angles you will get....
Play play play!!
:-)
Thanks Victoria. I looked at the tutorial again and I see what I'm doing wrong. Do you want this one, then? Or two different ones? I think I'll take a Xanax before I sew the next one! LOL (just kidding!)
I think your block looks great Sandy...lots of great fabric in them!
WOOOOSAAAAHHHHH. the block is lovely...Queen Bumblebeans wants everyone to go with the flow...if it doesn't move you, cut and stitch again...I like this place...although i am taking a break today and ripping my sewing room apart and shifting, moving, tossing, and repurposing things..to make my sewing life more efficient and likely to embody 15 minutes of play. Off to the stores to get the 3 items i truly need to pull it off.. I actually had my fabric up and away from me..now it will be at arms length...stay tuned for pics..
