Amish-ish Play
I've been drooling over Amish quilts for a while and kept telling myself I would play around with some solids... soon. This afternoon, I started working on my Rainbow String Blocks, but kept reaching for only my solid strings. "Forget string blocks!" I thought. I grabbed some solid scraps that have been bumping around my sewing table an pledged to use up every piece. Here's the result... kinda Amish bars and kinda jazz. This is going in my hand quilting pile, with a piece of a crazy batik plus-size duster I picked up at the Goodwill on the 50% off tag sale for the backing. Oh yeah, it's a good Sunday play day!

fun. I like it!
This is so striking. I love the colors and the design.
Never saw such jazzy Amish bars before. Super cool!
Fabulous bold color! Please keep it on top of that hand quilting pile as I would like to see how you continue.
Ohh, this will be so great with the hand-quilting. Amish jazz, yea!
Looks a little "Gees Bend" too. Wonderful!
