Intuition Quilt - Take One

Hello friends! My intuition quilt attempt started more as a planned idea...I'm a big planner...It's a quote by a friend (the last word is "wimps", didn't have all the letters done!). I really liked the letters and the star blocks, with the crazy pieced middles...

...but after having it on my design wall for a loooooooooong time, I was "stuck", and couldn't decide how to put it all together...except with lots of black...and this is for a special friend (the source of the quote) who is vivacious and bright, and lots of black seemed wrong...
...so, I totally "changed course"! I isolated one of the blocks, and then it became my intuition quilt! I just happened to have these gorgeous lime print triangles, just the right size, in one of my scrap baskets. [note - previously, I was totally fine with either tossing my scraps, or giving them to a friend - now I have scrap baskets in every corner of my sewing room!] Me likey! And you can't see it, but I removed the letters, and had them marching around the permeter of the quilt...

...next step? I decided to add some sawteeth, with colors and blacks, and some crazy pieced blocks at the corners. I'm liking that too - yesterday I tried piecing more "teeth" with V's paper-piecing method - then camera failed, bah![no worries, I'm getting a hand-me-up camera from my daughter] More pictures later...comments, suggestions please! Thanks in advance!

Intuition quilts means you have to go with your instinct! we shouldn't tell you what to do to make your quilt..It seems to me, you intuition has taken over, and your on the road to making a lovely quilt!
Keep making fabric... and play is all I can say... to make this quilt truly you! I see some play already sneaking in there... Show us more and why you made the choices you did... how exciting!

I am liking your new take on this quilt. I think this is just what it needed to give it that spark. Keep playing with it and let it speak to you up there on the wall.

Hah! I just had exactly the same problem! Having made lots of wonky stars, all with the same base blue fabric. It was just too much! Love the way you're overcoming yours!

Love the green - much more vivacious. My intuition tells me that this is gonna be one very cool quilt!
