Good morning everyone! I wanted to share my first house with you. I made a quilt for my best friend's 40th Birthday and wanted to incorporate her house (well I was going to do both our houses b/c they are opposites but I didn't have time). Her house is white with purple trim and she loves to garden. I tried to use lots of bright colors because they are her favorites!! I put some pictures below showing my house building. (sorry, had some troubles posting the pictures...guess I have some HTML learning to do!?!)
Final door color and then I had to choose a roof color! |
Party on the back!! |
Wordy Business on the front!! |
The front was inspired by Tonya Riccuci's book Word Play Quilts and her Unruly Quilter blog. This has been a really fun project and quite a challenge!!
Dreaming of spring through this quilt...now I can't wait to see the real thing!!!
It is now off to its new home....hopefully brightening my friends day!!
