PLAY!: act 1, scene 3

I asked for some suggestions from you PLAYmates, and you were more than helpful. One of the suggestions that really appealed to me was making "wonky" log cabin blocks. I started by cutting lots of strips

and then began with an irregular 5-sided shape
From there, I just started adding strips
trimming as I went
kinda looks like a house, doesn't it?
et, voila...my first freehand scrap block!

I know, it seems a little silly to get excited by this, but it was fun to just grab and sew, not caring about the end result... I'm excited to try another one!

Shine on!

A great block! I really like the different widths, including some really thin strips.

Whoo hoo! Can you feel the glee? Downloaded a book and picked up a beverage for a night of playing tomorrow; what a great way to spend a Friday night!
