weekend play

I made the cross pinwheel blocks for a guild challenge.Twenty blocks with eleven pieces each.  They will be the center of a queen size quilt.I'm going to sash them with a very narrow strip of kona papaya.  I had fun today playing with some borders. I'm determined to keep trying the things in Liberated Quiltmaking until I'm good at it. I have far to go.

Love that border!

Julie of Jewel's Arm Candy suggested the block. Mine turned out sorta wonky....after the first few I just gave up on perfection and had fun making them.

i love your cross pinwheel blocks! such a great twist on an otherwise unexciting block. The colors really work well together too.
