Making new fabric
I have been busy making more traditional type quilts lately, so I decided to take some time to play today. I emptied one of my scrap baskets, and found larger scraps than I usually play with. This is where I decided to start. I started with some scraps I cut from a pieced border on one of my convergence quilts. Then I grabbed some leftovers of the African fabric. The rest was just grab and stitch. This is what I came up with.
This piece is 12" x 12" so far. I am thinking about doing some "What if I . . . . " but that will wait until tomorrow.

i love the golden tones! What a stunner it would be as whole quilt...
I wonder where your What if's will bring you!
can't wait to see!
These fabric combinations are terrific with the strong patterns. Something interesting is happening here.
Great combo of fabrics. I love the zing of these fabrics together. Bonnie
