Tragedy on the Lakes - - Island in Danger! Mayday! Mayday!

Could be a headline, but it is only my lakes and island blocks.  Oh my!  While we are not calling out the Navy just yet, it was definitely an Oh Oh! Moment.

I went into my neatly (the only thing that is neat in my entire sewing room) stacked scrap containers and pulled some really great greens.  I thought, this will be BEAUTIFUL land!  And it was!

I love the blue for the lakes.  I have not seen Stonehenge up close and it is truly wonderful!  I want some for myself now!  And my lake went into the landscape with absolute perfection!

Then I went to work on the Islands in the Stream (or lake or ocean or whatever).   And it went very well too.

However, you notice the nice green rotary cutter is on the edge of the water?  Well, that is because of this:
When I clipped the thread, I clipped the water!  Aughhhhhh!

Don't worry!

I added a strip of water.

I don't think you can see, maybe.  But I made sure that it was enough to give you a nice quarter inch seam to sew the blocks together.  So it should be OK.

And this block will have a story.

glen:  why do MY blocks always have the stories???
