What was the process?

I 'd been wanting to try doing a star using made fabric
& thought a friendship star would be appropriate for this project ... maybe
a 12x12 full of stars ... different sizes & colors ... in the night sky.
After making this one I decided making smaller ones was not going to work & certainly a larger one would not work for this size quilt.
So ... what goes with a star?

The sun & the moon & another star for balance ... red, yellow, blue & green!
The hardest part was making the dark sky
so that it would have some life & movement.
The solution was to use as many scraps as possible ... sometimes challenging to piece together ... but fun, fun, fun!
I know how I will bind this.
And I know that I want to do some embroidery
but haven't worked that out yet.

It's good to see the process. Looks like there is some tricky sewing in this lovely piece. It's a lucky lady who will receive this innovative "four patch".
