Tale of Two Pictures

As part of the solids interpretation swap my partner and I have 2 very different pictures to work with.  Ellen's , "Vase of Flowers" by Vincent van Gogh is very traditional.  Mine on the other hand is entirely different. I was having a hard time finding something I liked so I went to my book shelf and found a photograph, really a series of photographs  that I wanted to work with. My vision is that they will be reproduced in non-traditional landscape colors and become part of a series of work.

Another variation of the swap project is that we will interpret both of the pictures and send the pieces to our swap partner. I really want to see how her interpretation of my pictures compares to mine.

Neither of us have started yet. Her sewing machine is in for repair and my excuse is that life just got in the way for a little while longer, but I am anxious to get started.

It will be very interesting to see how you both interpret these two very different images.
