I call these little blocks cookie crumbs. They are the block I'm requesting for November in the New Bee Group.
First cut a 4" circle out of card stock or recycle a cereal or cracker box.
Make a 5" square of made fabric.
Cut a circle out of it so that you have at least a 1/2" seam allowance all the way around. Slightly bigger makes it easier.
Set your machine to it's largest stitch length and sew a scant 1/4" all the way around your circle. Ever so slightly gather your circle so the edges start to come up. Place your cardstock circle in the center of this and gather the fabric around it until it is taunt.
Press using steam to set the edge of your circle. Pop out the cardstock and top stitch your circle in the center of a 6 1/2" black with a little white or white with a little black square.
Ta Da you're all done. Thanks!

This one looks like fun and not too difficult. I will try to get one finished for you as quick as I can.
I agree, this looks like fun, Em!
I love it. Can't wait to try it. Hugs
I think even I can handle this kind of circle ... adding it to my list of "want to try" projects!
