playing with ovals

Many of these flowers began with ovals. Earlier this week, Victoria asked us to play with circles,
but I had already begun playing with ovals left over from another project,
so I thought I'd show you these.
All the solid colour blooms began as ovals, which I cut into wedges and then reassembled

like this... here's one with green inserts....
but the dark purple isn't colourfast and it ran into the green.
I've got lots more flowers on the design wall over here.

Ovals are good. They are an inclosed squashed circle. Good enough for me. Your play piece if wonderful. bonnie
