''Rounding'' things out...

So here's a bit more play with my ROUND block...  The beauty in play is you try new things and look for your next clue as it presents itself to you.  I had no intention of making a circle, but it looked like one,so I went with it.

Don't forget to look. Tell your brain to be quiet for a minute so you can see what is next.

For me, I wanted to add some new elements... So I made some prairie points. I didn't have any great GREENS to play with, but I had this blender fabric, (sitting here for ever), and so i thought, what the heck! Let's give it a whirl and see what happens with it...

I'm quite pleased with it... I must have pulled 5 other options prior to this, and nothing felt right. The reds blended right in, the greens were not saturated enough to make anything to exciting... But that Yellow! Kind of cool! I can work with that!
Next I ravaged my studio looking for these Xmas blocks I made back in JANUARY!
Yes, January I was thinking about Xmas already...
(I have made three Xmas quilts already this  year, but that is for another day)

At long last I found them, and may find a way to incorporate them with this block.  What I thought at first, (the round made fabric) might become a pillow, I can now see, it may actually become a quilt...

I can say that Miki's Green red's and gold project she has been working on has definitely peaked my interest again in these old blocks...

What's next?  Not sure, Will let it keep speaking to me, and let the discoveries happen as they will.

Tell us more about YOUR process.

Take the challenge this week, and spill your wisdom about what you thought about so we can all learn from you.
