My exchange block from Victoria

What holiday did you request in the small quilt exchange?  When others asked for Christmas, I asked for el Dio de los Muertos (day of the dead), and this is what I got!  Isn't it fantastic?  The colors are perfect, and the fabric is to die for.  Ha ha.  I love the hand stitching and the beads.  In fact, I love everything about this.  On the back is a pocket with a handwritten note on fabric.  Thank you so much Victoria.  It already has a place of honor on my studio wall.

This is so awesome! It was real treat to see both of your exchange quilts in person too.

Set the scene: start the music: "Only In America"

It's georgeous and I'm both envious and releaved. Somehow it would have been way too difficult to find such amazing fabrics here in Australia. Enjoy!

This is a fantastic quilt. And how lovely (and convenient) to exchange in person. My quilt is about to go on a long, long journey.

I know it's wonderful. I got to see it while she was working on it. I did resist stealing it, however, cos I knew she'd know who took it! Now I just wish that you could deliver mine to me personally like that when WE swap!
