Mauve Overload?

I really went overboard with the mauve in my block. It's just all . . . well . . . mauve!

Here are the original fabrics I chose.

My intention is to make a sampler quilt . . . I'll see what happens as the challenge progresses and I end up with more blocks.

I'm planning to save all the leftovers from each color and piece my backing from them.

This was fun, and I can hardly wait to see what tomorrow's color is!

Your block looked so sedate until I got a closer look and discovered the Wild West gal! Delightful surprise!!

Interesting that you didn't add any colors outside of the mauve family... But you did add details! cowgirls! Saving your bits is a good way to rid your stash of mauve! Do you a lot of mauve?

very fun! I didn't see the cowgirls until the others pointed it out.

Yeah, I had to throw in the cowgirls! I don't know if I have much more mauve, but those two pieces were quite large . . . hmmm . . . I've decided to go for a monochromatic look with each color, and then do something with them all together in the end . . . we'll see what happens.
