Electric Orange
The colors are not quite as sharp as I see them, but I think you get the idea. I wanted "bright orange" to sing, rather than melt into the surroundings. I am so happy to have scraps of the coral material (I used in a mermaid quilt a couple of years ago) to go in the center of the block. I begin making quilt tops about four years ago and collecting a stash; I realize now how fabrics come and go. I am more and more committed to buying fabrics I like even if I am not sure what I will do with them.
I am not sure what I will do with these blocks, as some as so mellow and now I have two (orange and yellow) brights. I guess we will see what the rest of the colors bring. I thought of doing another cut and adding more orange in a long thin horizontal in the bottom section, but until I see more of the blocks, I think this is where I want to leave this block now.
I am really enjoying these brights. I love sunshine and ocean breezes! But I also love the calm of avocado, peach and ocher.

Terrific block, with all the stacked fabrics and colours. A great graphic design.
I love that coral fabric. It is perfect with the bright orange. I love the contrast of the complimentary purple. Another beautiful block.
Beautiful, Willa! I also love the coral fabric with the bright orange. Awesome "play time".
I love these colors together
