Just Peachy

People often ask me how I'm doing...my usual reply (I'm) "just peachy" - which is code for: it's one of those days and I don't wanna talk about it, OR sometimes it actually means things are really okay...it just depends on the moment.

I really like peach - so I was shocked to find I couldn't FIND very much in my stash. It really took some searching and FINALLY I came up with two. The darker peach - is definitely "vintage". I had a piece, maybe 8x10. It was leftover from one of the first "real" quilts I ever made - a dresden plate I think - over 20 yrs ago...I don't even know where the quilt is now (I see another search in my future). The second one I found - a light pinky peach (but you KNOW it's peach when you put it next to pink) - I had  a bit more...but also vintage...it was from one of the very first lines of fabrics we stocked when we started to change our cross stitch store into a quilting shop (eegads...also over 20 yrs ago). So now I'm wondering why I said I really like peach - maybe I used up every other piece I ever had - but I don't think so.

Without further adieu...here's my fabs and made fabric (bringing back the green dot from earlier).

And here's my peach block. I'd really planned to use the lighter peach  for the hst - but it was just too light when I looked at the other blocks I've already done.

So...how do I feel about the color #4? I think you know my answer:
"Just Peachy" - LOL

I love that combo of fabrics. Good job picking your black & white setting fabric. This is going to be a cool quilt.
