Tomato Red.... scrumptiously delicious

When I took one look at this week's color selection... Tomato Red, all I could think about was a trip to the Farmer's MarketPantone describes Tangerine Tango, as a "spirited reddish orange, which continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward".   Whatever color you want to call it, it certainly fits that description. There was no need to take a trip to the fabric store this week because I had this bright batik that looked pretty "spirited" to me.

I decided to leave my comfort zone this week so there's no purple or turquoise.  In keeping with this week's color, I wanted to be as natural and organic as possible.  I took out the leafy vines, added a bark like brown and am happy with the yellow, green, and brown color scheme to go with the tomato red.

It felt good to get out of my way and try some interesting colors this week.  There are the cool greens and warm browns and yellow.  None of them took away from the energy of the Tomato Red.
I certainly will use it in future projects

Another color combination that works so well! Makes me eager to "play".

I love how the red reds with your butte yellow back ground!

I love your farmer's market/natural/organic mindset for this block--it turned out great!

What a delightfully different color combination! Certainly earthy, but the red is very prominent.

Yes, I agree with Tracey, the colours here together are very attractive.
