Not sure if this block succeeds at evoking gum so much as Pepto-Bismol. My starter fabric is on the lower left. I added lighter and darker pinks, hints of purple, duck egg and royal blue as well as some prints with grey in them to try to kill the pink's sweetness. It looks much more subtle in the photo. In "real life" this block is pretty eye searing. This pink is growing on me but I think I prefer it as an accent color...
