Maroon is a Crayola Color.

I wouldn't typically be drawn to use Maroon in anything.  I do still have my school sweater sporting colors Maroon and Gold but that's a different story and an eons ago era.  (Do kids still wear school sweaters anyway?)  I decided to use a yellow, bright green and orange Batiks to add some light to the Maroon fabric and those colors really added a nice contrast.

The completed block is not one of my favorites... not sure why but it will complement the others once I add it to the top.  It will be interesting to see how they all play together.
