3 + 1 = 4

I made my fourth block today and couldn't resist seeing how they would look with darker sashing.  The one on the left is a darker teal, and was a pretty small piece so I had to put the blocks closer together.  I think this background is too dark.  The one on the right is a larger piece I have been hoarding and petting for a long time now.  I think I may have found just the right project for it.  I will have to measure the piece and that will determine how big this project will be, I think.  This one is definitely not going to the four year.

This is a good exercise in seeing these "quiet" blocks set together. I think option 2 is the best, but I agree it might be hard to cut into such lovely fabric.

The dark border does make the light blocks stand out and gives a 3D effect- you've shown it as a very thin border and maybe that's why. The light border merges more with the blocks. I think this is one where you have to see it in real life and maybe with more blocks. Very nice low-value blocks.

I think the one on the right is the "right" one for the mood your colors create, but both look good.
