still playing

I have not posted here in a while but I do check out all the activities here and I am always inspired.
I am still playing with scraps but this time it is with flannel scraps.  I made some baby bibs, burp cloths and receiving blankets and had lots of scraps from this project.  I cannot bring myself to throw away any scrap that is bigger than 2 inches square.  Instead of bagging and saving these scraps for a future project, I decided to use them now.   I started piecing them together.   I cut out 6 inch squares and only had 12.....so I decided to make 1/2 squares and put a baby quilt top together.  This is what I ended up with.

I love it when I can sit in my sewing studio and just let the fabric lead me.   I hope to get it quilted soon.   It is about 42 inches square.

What a sweet quilt and what a great use of your scraps!

Bright and colorful. I like that you made fabric and then did the zig-zag setting. !!
