Whites and lights top done!

Well, my whites and lights quilt top is done!
Two quilt "thoughts" did converge into this one project.   I can say I am happy I WAITED
until the right moment to put this top together....
I started simple, but I can never leave simple enough alone... Then I started playing and auditioning other choices.  I loved how the HOT PINKS were jumping out of the blocks( made by the people at the AFTER Dark party for the Quilt Alliance event, here, in September...) You can see some of the blocks on he wall below. I left almost all of the blocks in tact... Only a about 5 blocks had to be cut or trimmed to fit.... Perfect for using them like made fabric!

Loving those PINKS, I cut strips and  played every which way with them, pulled in some other colors, and made my final decision...

OH, OK.... SORRY!
You'll have to wait just a bit longer for the final reveal...
I must get this quilt, quilted ASAP...

Are we ready for another challenge soon? A small one perhaps? Holiday themed? swap?
Tell me, peeps!

Looks great, love that pink. I thought you were going to show us a finished kimono robe to wear for some well deserved relaxing. Do you ever do that?

Oh the suspense - I can hardly wait to see your finished quilt!

Count me in on another swap, always a fun project.

I like how the pink brings out the lightness of that field.
My lights and whites is going to take awhile but I have great ideas.
I really liked the fabric swap. It's great for building a scrappy stash. If not that, then a small challenge maybe. there's not much time right now... :)

I am always up for another challenge or swap. I've been working on "sandy" projects. I've made blocks for two different "block calls" this is the best way for me to contribute because I don't have a long arm and my quilting process is so S - L - O - W.

I likje your challenges that take the form of:

Make a specified block, 15 minutes of play style, then send it to Victoria to make into charity quilts.

Always creates a good feeling, and can be fit into just a few minutes a day.
