I've used black in my crazy quilting projects. It makes the colored squares just "POP"!! My friend took vintage Grandmother's Fan blocks and placed them on black and it was awesome! The past couple of years I've been collecting black and white fabrics to use in a quilt and the color that I will add for pizzazz is a turgoise that I would call Columbia Blue. It's on the "to do" list for this coming year.......along with a whole lot of other stuff. LOL!
I like black in almost any quantity in a quilt.
Did you buy any african fabrics?
Black is back? Yay....I am in this experiment, for sure!
It's funny you would talk about black quilts. I just bought a quilt book because of it's beautiful cover. I never do that. On the cover is a lovely black quilt, The book is "Quilting in Black & White" by Leisure Arts
