Karin's progress

Well I learned something about applique working on this quilt.  I usually applique on the edges of something, or something a lot smaller.  I had to keep undoing and redoing on this piece because I was heaving this huge top around and constantly getting lumpy cloth.  Of course it occurred to me (just now) that if I had basted the pieces that would have helped me sew them and not make lumps.  I'm glad I can still learn something,  even if there is a three day waiting period with my brain....

It's a beautiful appliqué. Every quilt is a learning experience. Right?

looking great! I think every time we make a quilt it is a learning process. I know I always learn something new each time whether it be a different technique or just a lightbulb that goes off to me for that "aha" moment!
