Playing with Parts (for my Tea Towel Challenge)

I've been making fabric from creams and (mostly) black fabrics.  The cream crumbs became hen blocks–combs and eyes and wing/feather detail to be added later.  I'm thinking the black chunks may work for a background for some folk art style appliqué.

Designing on the Wall

I've pulled out a vintage gold damask tablecloth, purchased at an antique fair in Texas last year to add to the mix.  I still don't have a firm vision for the design–at this point, I'm still playing with parts.

This towel is great, and the little hen blocks are perfect (at least I think they are hens). Colors are great too.

I LOVE your towel! How completely awesome! (But then, I have a thing for chickens). How cute to make little hen blocks to go with it.
