Bits and pieces

Following on from my first post I have made a few more blocks and played around with them on the wall. Because I am still keeping the pieces of fabric small they are taking me longer to make up, but I do like the finished result.

The one on the left was what I originally had in mind, Indian Hatchet style, but I rather like the one on the right, I also placed them in a zig zag pattern but not sure about that one, I'll make more blocks this week and play around again, I should be able to come up with more designs then.
Sadly the Pear Aboriginal Dots fabric is not showing it's true colour it's really is a great pear green fabric with pinky dots, I love it and have just bought more yardage.

I agree about the one on the right. The colors are wonderful, as well as the pattern.

Thanks everyone so much for your lovely comments, as a new member it's a bit daunting posting something, especially as this is a new departure from my usual style! Love it!!! Not too late after over 30 years quilting to venture into something new.
Joyce and Julianne - for my triangles I made a square approximately five and a half inches and just sliced on the diagonal. My base square was six and a half inches.

Looks great! I love all your tiny pieces--they add so much more dimension to your made fabric!
