Petal play

My Tea towel has been sitting here looking at me for weeks... I tried several different things, and never really liked anything, then When I should be doing other things, I thought, jus t cut them up...your thinking to hard!
So I cut one, and thought... OK, that is not working for me...

So next, I grabbed one, and cut a petal shape from each square... Hmm, that could be fun!

Next thing ya know, I'm cutting leaves,

and digging through the stash of fabrics I bought in AU...
LOVE the border fabric, to bad I only bought a 1/4 of a meter!

Luckily I have enough stash to find some others to make a nice scrappy border...

Sometimes you just have to CUT!

;-)
Now what to do with those corners.... and some accent behind the flowers...

off to play!

Well, at least you have almost an inch more of those beautiful fabrics buying a 1/4 meter vs 1/4 yard!

Thanks for sharing your process - it' great to see a pro at play!

Ooh, I am so taken with that petal thingie -- what a fun toy!

The towel-top is taking shape nicely; those pretty border prints are a nice balance to the dark brown and orange.

Ok, since you're still working on yours past the "deadline" I guess I'll start. I know that's what you replied to me last week - "just start any time". Gotta take care of the "to do" stuff first - bills, meals, family, etc., and then I will play.
