All Over The Place

I've been playing with everything! I made Bee Blocks for Charlotte . . .

I got un-stuck on my Intuition Quilt, and added another round, and I already know what I'm going to do for the next round as well. I want it to be big.I made my large triangles from "made fabric", then pieced Flying Geese out of them with other scraps. I'm currently working on some really large pieces of "made fabric" to use in the next round. I'm having a blast rummaging through my scrap bin!

I've been deciding on a painting for the Solids Segmented Swap, and am just about ready to get started with that.

And I need to get crackin' on my Bee Blocks for July next.

I certainly hope that you all are having as much fun playing as I am!

Spinning My Wheels

I'm stuck not making any forward progress on my Intuition Quilt. It's keeping me awake at night. Does that mean my intuition has stopped working? Here's what I wanted to do:

I didn't like it and changed my mind to this:
It has stopped speaking to me, so I'm not sure whether it's saying it's done and wants to be a table topper, or if it went to sleep and I need to do something to wake it back up?

Meanwhile, I've been playing with my blocks from the 15-minutes bee, and here's what I have so far, with a lot more playing and slicing and dicing yet to go. I'm having sooo much fun with these. I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of my favorite quilts EVER!

And speaking of the bee, I need to get off of here and go make some blocks for Charlotte. I don't want to get behind, because . . .
I wanna get in on the solids challenge. It's just too good to resist!
Catch ya later . . .

Spilling My Guts

More progress on my Guts Quilt (aka my Intuition Quilt) . . .

I got those little circles all appliqued down, and added them, and as usual, I put it up on the wall, and saw DULL!!
I'm trying to make this quilt all out of one bag of scraps, and in that bag, there are just not too many brights for some reason. I'm probably going to have to branch out and grab another bag.

In my efforts to brighten it up, I decided to add this red border. It doesn't even do as much as I'd intended, but I'm planning to make this quilt bigger yet, so I've still got time to pull the fat out of the fire . . .

Follow Your Gut

I'm calling my Intuition Quilt my "Guts" Quilt. Since intuition is basically a gut feeling, and that's what we're supposed to go with for this quilt. And since part of what I've done sorta looks like a pile of guts so far . . .

I made a center block without any regard for what I was pulling out of the bag of scraps. I just grabbed and sewed. When it was big enough, I cut my big center square out of it. I'm tempted to slap a big ol' applique daisy on top of it, but so far I've resisted. Intuition? While I was digging through the bag of scraps (which was a gift from my best friend -- who wonders why I would call her trash a "gift"), I found these . . .Circles made up of 2 fabrics. I knew I had to incorporate them into my Intuition Quilt . . . just a gut feeling!

So I made square backgrounds out of other fabrics, and will be appliqueing all these little circles on to go around my center square.
I haven't thought it out any further than that. I'm going to get the circles put on, then put it back up on the wall and let it talk to me some more.

Now I'm off to play some more!
