flamingo in paradise

A friend gave me some Pink Flamingo fabric this week!
What a great addition to a house for Lynn!
Don't you think???
Her daughter recommends I make a trailer park quilt
with lots of flamingos!!
Now THAT's an idea worth considering!!!

number two.

Here's another house for Lynn.
I tried something new for me this time.
I cut out the door and window.....
Positioned them on the house.......
and
"free motioned" all over them!
Hope you don't mind the raw edges, Lynn.
I just had to experiment today!!!

my first houses

Never having constructed this type of house, I decided that it's high time I look into buying one of the books by Gwen and Freddie..  It took me way more than 15 minutes to come up with my two.  The one on the left my version of a southern antebellum home.  The one on the right is my log cabin in the pines. However, I have learned one thing.  This house thing can get one hooked pretty quickly.  I just might have to make another before I send these out to Lynn.
A very merry Christmas to everyone.

all is bright!

 A house for Lynn.
She wants bright.

I hummed silent night as I was sewing.
The record player needle was stuck on....
"all is bright".
Not much "calm" here, I'm afraid.

I had fun and hope to fit another
"15 minutes ++++!!!"
in between the holiday activities!!

Houses for Lynn

Since last month I was running behind, I decided to make my blocks and send them already! Had a great time making these today. Hope you like them!

Bee Block for January 15 min quilt bee

I know that it is such a busy time, that I almost (almost but not quite) feel guilty about asking for blocks. I was thinking that out of all times of the year January is my least favorite, so I thought I need something bright, happy and fun and something I've wanted to do for a long time now - HOUSES!

a couple of small houses will do.

Maybe a medium sized house

Or a large scrappy house

Any size, any shape, just one definite: make it bright!
