February Scrap Bee Quilt

I had such fun sewing together these wonderful blocks from all of you Scrap Bee players. I just love seeing the sweetness and care you put into each and every one.



Then there were these red petal shaped scraps sitting around, and encouragement from some of you to go ahead and use them. What can I say? It's spring! THANK YOU, Scrap Bee players! Can't wait to get started on the April blocks.

February SCRAP bee blocks

Here are the 5 blocks I made for LeeAnn..

Definitely a challenge-- the scrap blocks i usually play with are much smaller than this and I had several failed attempts before I figured out how to make a 6.5" block with only 5 fabrics.  My favorite is the bottom center one.  Hope she likes them too!

Here's some playing around. I've got all of these red petal shape scraps. Hmm. Think I like the quilt better without the flowers. What do you think?

I made five as instructed.

Then this tiger started staring at me from behind a hybiscus bloom as if he needed to get out of my house.  So he was sent too.

Blocks for Sujata

I had a lot of fun making these blocks for Sujata. What a great idea she has. This is going to be one gorgeous quilt!




Also, I received beautiful blocks from Alexis and Barbara. I think they look great mixed in with my own.
