I've really enjoyed seeing your creative art quilt portraits. Pictures of myself scare me to death, but I thought this one wasn't too bad. I had to crop out my hunky husband and BFF. It was her wedding (finally!) and that's probably why I look so happy. Or it might have been the wine!
So here's the crop. And you can bet I'll take creative license and remove at least one of those chins! Hmmph! I wasn't sure how to tackle this, but I blew it up and printed it out and started tracing. Then I fused Wonder Under to fabrics and started chopping. Here's what I have so far.
Kind of scary, huh?
I knew it reminded me of something! That's all I have time for today. If you're on the fence for this project, jump in. It's really pretty fun. I know I laughed out loud a couple of times! Have fun!

It looks great! I'm rapidly clearing the decks to make room for play time too! I'll be 'in' soon!
That's quite a comparison! I have been getting some good chuckles out of mine, too. You're off to a great start!
You gave me a good laugh, I am sure when you add your hair, the cone will disappear, lol.

heeheehee! Thanks for the chuckle with the Coneheads! Great start, can't wait to see what comes next!
So funny! I am so glad everyone is enjoying this process! ** little happy dance***
your post reminded me of another trick when doing portraits...
Notice the color part of our eyes,(around the pupil)always receeds into the top and lower lid. that will take the surprise look out of our eyes...
you'll only see the full circle if your super surprised...
Looks great!
Your photo looks great- and you gave me a good laugh too! Glad you're also having fun with this process- it's a blast!
