Ya'll Make Me Drool

I couldn't have more fun seeing what you all are creating. Are you sure there's no charge for this?! Your creations are so fun and vibrant. Here are a few pictures of stuff I made. Thank you all for the inspiration. It sure has been lots of fun. More to come! I'm in big quilt mode, but I'm going to make time for V's 15 minutes!

Finally Found 15 Minutes

I've always loved fabric scraps and scrap quilts have always been my favorite. Give me a bag of funky scraps over fancy yardage any day! I got a wild hair a while back and organized my huge scrap basket. I can't remember what possessed me to color code them, but I kind of want to dump them all together again. I need to find a larger laundry basket or other container first. Anyhow, I did have fun making my 15-minute 6" block. I've enjoyed seeing everyone's scrap collections and projects. Keep 'em coming! And thanks to you V for continuing to distract inspire us!

Stick A Fork In It...

I think I'm done. Thanks for another great challenge, V. This was the perfect project to practice my quilting. Just attaching my free motion foot makes me sweat, so I need all the practice I can get. I look forward to your next brain exercise. I love all the portrait quilts I've seen. What a creative bunch you all are!
I was too chicken to "write" in a contrasting thread. It says, "Say Cheese."

I Added My 'Do

I had a few spare minutes this morning to work on my portrait. It's coming along and not quite as scary as my last picture! I had to copy V and add a flower! Don't you just love my hair? Wish my real hair was polka dots!

Okay, I'll bite!

I've really enjoyed seeing your creative art quilt portraits. Pictures of myself scare me to death, but I thought this one wasn't too bad. I had to crop out my hunky husband and BFF. It was her wedding (finally!) and that's probably why I look so happy. Or it might have been the wine!
So here's the crop. And you can bet I'll take creative license and remove at least one of those chins! Hmmph! I wasn't sure how to tackle this, but I blew it up and printed it out and started tracing. Then I fused Wonder Under to fabrics and started chopping.  Here's what I have so far.
 Kind of scary, huh?
I knew it reminded me of something! That's all I have time for today. If you're on the fence for this project, jump in. It's really pretty fun. I know I laughed out loud a couple of times! Have fun!
